How Watermark Works

Watermark adds text watermarks or page numbers to your PDF. Mark documents as "CONFIDENTIAL", brand your work with your company name, or number the pages of a long report — all done locally in your browser without uploading your file.

  3. Adjust font size, opacity, rotation and position (center, corners) until the preview looks right.
  4. Click "Apply & Download" — the output keeps the original pages and adds the mark on top.

FAQ

Can the watermark be removed from the output?

The watermark is baked into the output file, so it cannot be removed by simply clicking it away. We do not offer watermark removal on watermarked documents.

Can I put the watermark only on some pages?

The current version applies the watermark to all pages of the document. For per-page control, split the PDF first, watermark the part you need, and merge it back.

Is Watermark free?

Completely free. All tools on this site are free to use — no sign-up and no usage limits. Ads shown on the site help cover server and development costs.

Are my files safe?

Yes. Files are processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded to any server. Data is cleared when you close the page.

Will the output PDF have a watermark?

No. Output files contain no watermark and stay consistent with the original.
